Chalida Thaochalee
—————————won the coveted title of Miss Thailand in 1998.
Chalida’s break into the world of entertainment began with her hosting of the “Incredible Thursday” program on TV Channel 7.
This earned her a prestigious Mekhla award for Best Television Presenter, 1998. She then joined the team for E!Entertainment’s special
segment entitled “Wild in Thailand”. In the same year, Chalida was honored with her appointment as PR Ambassador for
the Tourism Authority of Thailand, representing the nation at various events. She also served as marketing consultant
to ICC International Public Company Limited.
In 2000, Chalida was recognized with the Priew Award from Priew magazine, as well as the “Fun Fearless Female 2000” award,
organized by Cosmopolitan magazine. In the same year, Chalida was honorary emcee for several high profile events, such as
the Gala Premiere of the film “Stuart Little” for Columbia Tri-Star Buena Vista Films (Thailand) Co., Ltd.,
and a special interviewer of world class golfers, including Tiger Woods and Phil McKerson, as well as celebrities such as pianist, singer and composer
Jim Brickman.
Chalida continued to represent Thailand on various important occasions, such as
accompanying Her Majesty the Queen
and HRH Princess Sirindhorn on an official visit to China in October 2002.
Chalida’s personal interests include oil painting – her creations
have been exhibited on several occasions.Apart from furthering her studies in various
branches of the arts and honing her skills as both a quality actress and presenter,
Chalida pays great attention to health matters. An illustration of this is the fact that
sheadheres to the theory of eatingto complement one’s blood group,
low-carbohydrate eating, and macrobiotics ways of life. She has also enrolled in further
nutrition studies in the United States.
Chalida was a writer of “Living In Shape” health column in Praew magazine,
